I was asked create a unique sculptural piece for the opening of the new SONOS showroom in Soho, NYC. The goal was to create an exact replica of the classic Technics 1200 turntable in cast bronze. It would be a monument to the various artists in New York City who used this instrument to change music forever.
The turntable was meticulously cast in several pieces and assembled mechanically so that the tonearm could be moved similar to the action of the real thing.
