The Skin Series Bud Vases were originally created by my design collaborative 'The Mighty Bearcats' for the Guerrilla Truck Show in June 2007.
Our exhibit, entitled "Take Me Into Your Skin" analyzes ideas of skin, facade, and coverings. From the small sculptural vessels on display, to the design of the interior, to the truck itself, this exhibition explores the beauty of layers: The clever man-made façade, that reveal clues as to what lies beneath...
The Vases were the result of a material exploration with a heat sensitive plastic tubing generally used by electricians for binding wires and protecting electrical connections.
